Why the hell do I keep hearing that Christians are being discriminated against? Guess what, you're not. Just because we don't let you and your bullshit, backwards values infiltrate every aspect of the American life, does NOT mean that you are being discriminated against. It means that people disagree with you. Is it any wonder that people don't want their daily activities surrounded by the 10 Commandments and pictures of Jesus? That people don't want to be bombarded by messages that say birth control is wrong and homosexuality will destroy the earth? People don't have a problem with religion. People have a problem with bigotry and intolerance. Back off your hate rhetoric and people won't mind so much.

I just think things are getting really bad. Worse than I remember them. People aren't just stupid anymore. They're becoming ignorant and pushy, and it scares me a lot.

Worse than you remember them in your 20 whole years of experience?

haha yea. I just don't remember there ever being this much tension. I don't remember people being this pissed off. I don't remember this many movies being made by big name directors (Star Wars, War of the Worlds) that had undertones of being unhappy with what's going on at that moment. There have always been movies about war and shit like, but these movies are about right now. Not war in general, but the Iraq war. Maybe it's just because I didn't care and never took notice, but I care now and I'm taking notice of all the crap that upsets me now.

I totally agree with you. I've always cared about shit like this, and i think that it is worse now than ever. I feel like the political rifts that are forming now are comparable to the ones that exsisted in the 60's. The only difference is that now we're all too fucking PC to riot, and those of us who aren't have guns. I also feel like the past 20 years of idelist having nothing legitimate to rally against has caused most of our society to become so complacent, that when the smelly young neo-hippies have a protest, or attempt to effect some change they are ignored, much like the boy who cried wolf. In a way, it almost feels utterly hopeless. Lately I feel like the only thing I can do is just attempt to squeeze whatever joy I can out of my own life, instead of worrying about the lives of others, and who can blame me? Look at our pansy-assed attempts at affecting change. Dave Mathews and 50 cent at live 8? I'm sure the frat boys and gangstas really felt like going home and helping. Fucking Tom Cruise rambling about over medicated kids? I'm sure all the housewives of america weren't just holding their breaths waiting for news of Katie Holmes. References terrorism and totallitarianism in summer blockbusters? I'm possitive that Joe Blow America, with his fucking stars and stripes totally got that clever underhanded jibe! Wow, I just totally ranted all over your comment page! Better call Dennis Miller!
